The only fact that's important here is player abusing the other player for not switching his runes/skills in a timely manner the sbuser thought was sufficient. Flaming and insulting someone for taking care to equip and skill properly instead of loading the mission with "GOGOGOGO" is both rude and stupid. Those are the facts. kthx
Erm...if you are going to rebut my arguments, you should probably at least talk about them, but each to their own. Yes the player abused another, but here's the go; a) Its a free world, b) They ARE better and c) If you want someone to come help, it would be nice to be ready to go when they get there. If he was called to help out, he wouldn't want to be kept for ages while the team organise itself, they should already be set up. The FACTS are that Fish are better than this guy, and the guy from Fish was obviously annoyed that he had to wait around for the team to get ready, which is fair enough. Next time find better arguments cataphract, instead of repeating the OP's comments. gfg.

They dont have the right, but they have the possibility of doing it regardless it being rude and offensive, but then again, ignore list has its purposes.

Too bad my ignore list is full, anet does need to extend the limit a lot, i mean if we want to have a good time playing without pesky idiots buggering our game then this is a necessity.
I have the right to play a happy game without scammers and rude people, a large ignore list will help this imensily.

*click click type type* bye forever.

Tch. Ignore Lists are for weak-minded people and whiners IMO.

I've never used it.

Others will have a different opinion of course

Anet cant punish anyone for being a bigot, being mean, rude or being snorbish Elitist Prick in general no matter what rank their guild is in as long they aviod issues of race, religion, gender and country slander or accessive verbal abuse.

Your Ingore List exist for your own protection against them along with scammers, spammers and their lot, if only it can be longer. If i had a penny for every person i have blocked in game, i would have enough to pay for Nightfall already.

Well, I know for a fact that a friend of mine who started playing two months ago can steamroll r9s when taken out of context. And he has no GvG/HA rank.

Go back and read my posts plx? Maybe you should try and find something else to do other than posting stupid arguments in a thread that you obviously haven't read properly. Adding kthx after your posts doesn't make you right, it makes you look like a moron, or arrogant. Paired with the fact that your statements have been wrong, or at best wrong about this particular issue, you are making yourself look stupid in front of a forum of thousands.

Regarding this thread:

Yes the guy from Fish is good at the game. He clearly stated that. If you are called to help a team, the team should be somewhat organised, rather than having to set skills and attributes while you are waiting to go. Despite the fact that Fish are good at the game, and possibly better than the OP and his team, it CAN be offensive to some people to brag about this. Yes the guy from Fish has the right to say those things, but that doesn't mean that he should.

1st- Lets think about it like this:
Imagine a certain day i was happily playing around in this great game, when a certain someone decides to spoil the fun and trow senseless insults at me.
If i know im right in the part of the discussion, il present my point of view, if the offender decides to play deaf and be a troll that doesnt listen, then i wont waste more of my time with him, because i know im right, and dont need to prove anything at all.

2nd- Hence ignore list comes into function, i dont want to listen to his whinning/complaining/insults about something completelly absurd and out of reason just because he has some problems in real life and needs to let out some steam on a virtual world where there is no visual/physical contact with a real person( and thats why people just dont give a crap, its not the real world)

3rd- A person who uses the ignore list isnt weak minded, much less a whinner.
They are Impatient at most, IF THAT.
Sure its your right to be a total ass and start being rude, and its my right to simply see how litle empathetic, unfriendly and plain rude you are, and put you on ignore list.

Proof of my righteousness.

Btw by saying "w/e you say" you are assuming the role of troll that doesnt want to listen to reason. (which i mentioned in post #49)

Yay, let's all celebrate the PVP Ubermensch \o/
Another "PVE Players are inferior human beings" thread proudly presented by GuildWars Guru.

I guess it is all the "dominate others" aspect of PVP that let's them go all Hitler Style about PVE Players.

And yes, this post was insulting, offensive and downright suiting into yet another PVP versus PVE thread. Just close it allready, there is no point discussing this at all. It's been this way since the release of GuildWars. Hardcore PVP hates all PVE. Hardcore PVE hates all PVP. Both don't like each other. Both want to express their superioty over the other group. Both are full of morons with no dignity and decency.

Play the game you want to play it. Don't get worked up because a PVE Player insulted you by not switching runes fast enough. Don't get worked up because a PVP Player tried to dominate you, the ubermensch he is.

Plx note the bolded text and try to figure out why I used kthx. While you're at it, read your posts again if you're looking for wrong statements.

italic: If he's so good at the game as you and he state, and if PvE is so much easier than PvP - why would such a good player need help in PvE?
underlined: Do you seriously think that one MUST be prepared with skills and armor when called upon to help? Are you THAT ignorant that you can't imagine a scenario where a player is farming with a 55 monk, called upon to help out in, say THK, he comes to THK with the 55 monk and you start the mission? THAT'S bad organisation.

You sure don't get it. I think you MUST be reading the wrong thread, you can't be posting about this one. Here's what happened, as the OP wrote it:

Player A + Player B went to farm.
Player C (from Fish) came along to help.

Unless I am mistaken, the PvPer didn't ask for help. Now stop being an idiot and read the thread again. All the arguments have been clearly stated by everyone, you are posting things that don't make any sense.

True, I was a little harsh on the guy. I think this thread has all but exhausted it's discussion value anyway. Clearly its just a case of the OP being angry that a PvPer was being elitist. That's fair enough, because people shouldn't brag because of their rating, but that doesn't mean that the guy from Fish isn't allowed to. This thing happens alot though, just pop onto observer mode some time. Thousend Tigers Apund Your Head are a great example of this. They run SB/RI with 3 Rits, and because of this are difficult to beat, despite the fact that you need almost no skill to play the build. All this aside, they brag on observer about how their rank is so much better than everyone elses (well, used to be), and how they can pwn everyone.

This happens alot, all over the place (not only in Guild Wars), so the OP just needs to keep a stiff upper lip, and either Ignore the guy, or kick him from the group.

Bringing this up again... there's a right for players to speak however they want. This is not to be contested, it seems logical enough.

From there, whether they are right in saying that is independent.

If this is indeed the case, the person being called to help has the full right to determine if helping is worth their time. The fact that the OP just came here to whine about the situation rather than properly defending themselves to the offending player just proves to me that they have nothing to stand up with - the Fish player in that case, is superior.

Complaining to other people about something that should remain a matter between two people or the group itself doesn't give much credibility.

While I don't neccessarily agree... I've never kept anyone on my ignore list. There's no point - generally more amusement to be gotten from their blundering attacks.

You dont have to be a great player to be high ranked or be in a high ranked guild, if you watch observer at all you will find that in a lot of the top guilds theres often 5~ good players and then space fillers, the ones with the real skill are the ones creating the builds and calling the strat, the rest just do as they are told, aslong as they dont screw up in a big way they usually get the job done.

I was watching EW on observer last nite, along with the usual 7 familiar players there was a warrior running about with ascalon stat armor using a sundering weapon to charge up and spike, he looked like he was lost, but he just got carried thru by the rest of his party.
